KASTA coming Jan 24th

The Russian rap group KASTA is coming to Santos Party House!
On January 24th, New York will be the second stop on Kasta’s American tour for their new albums. You read that correctly – multiple albums.

The rap group recorded their albums separately, though it did not effect the quality of their music. With heavy influences by groups like Wu-Tang Clan, the rap group was formed fifteen years ago, and their new tour will prove that they haven’t lost their depth as artists.  They continue to express the struggles of living in the Russian industrial city, Rostov-On-Don, but also play on the universal themes of love, friendship, and sweet success.

The group definitely knows a thing or two about success after winning the Best Hip-Hop Album award at the MTV Russia Awards in 2004, Legends of MTV award, over 10 million views on Youtube, and now a second tour in major US cities.

When the group started in 1999 as a rebellion against typical Russian pop-music, they worried that their message would be lost in translation, but their work related to all Russians who were struggling to get on their feet in the post-USSR, wounded Russia.  They also rap about freedom and success, which appeals to their American fans that are detached from the battle-scarred Russia.

In their clip promoting the tour, they invite Donald Trump to join them and rap along. Shym will presenting his new single, “A Song About Revenge” that has gone viral in Russia, and his friends will contribute join in on the groups classic hits in addition to their new material on tour.
